The GTA 5 PC, PS4, and Xbox One release date has been confirmed for this Fall in a new trailer shown just in time for E3 2014. This means that by the end of this year, we should be able to take on the stories of Trevor, Michael, and Franklin in glorious 1080p, or as close to it as Rockstar Games can go. Considering how hard they pushed it on the last generation consoles, there is no doubt they will push it again.
We can’t really know if that’s the final release window until closer to the event, though. Several games have suffered delays this year, a trend which began last year when Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs and The Crew were taken out of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launch window. We will assume for now that Rockstar has been secretly working on these ports for the last two years and simply kept everything under an airtight lid. This is not the kind of game you can rush, and Rockstar spent several months patching and updating the game after it was launched last year.
